CAD/CAM Center is a self-financed scientific and research laboratory, set up in 1992 at Kazan State Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev. The Center is involved in developing and introducing CAD/ CAM/ CAE systems (the systems for computer-aided designing, modelling and engineering) – one of key areas of integrated technologies. The CAD/CAM Center is a regional training software center in the relevant field: Kompas-Graphik (“Askon” Company, Russia) and ADEM (“ADEM Technologies”, Russia) and it provides consulting services on this software application. The center is involved in developing and introducing rapid prototyping and direct production techniques as well as mathematical modelling with the application of its own “GRAD” software. It also carries out research of different circuit designs for gas-turbine engines and power plants.
